These 6 CDs cover the entire recording career of the Doors with and without Jim Morrison, from the first album to 1972's 'Full Circle', compiled by Evolution in an unofficial box set that includes recordings from radio sources. The first five discs focus on the historic repertoire, with all or most of the great classics, but also 'Love Me Tender' and 'Mystery Train' by Elvis Presley, Curtis Mayfield's 'People Get Ready' with the Impressions, the jubilant jam 'Rock Is Dead' in various versions, some blues standards and the poem 'Hitler'. The last CD includes a version of the band's last hit after Morrison's death, the light-hearted 'The Mosquito' with a pure mariachi style section.
